• Bill: Would be good to have Ben give motivation - what he's trying to accomplish by putting this in U-Boot?

We have a use-case where RPU firmware would like to use same rpmsg-payloads (protocol) to communicate with both kernel & u-boot.

Is this sufficient information ?

• @Milea, Danut Gabriel (Danut): The required mods to use UART for R5 are in one of our Zephyr repos.  In a DT overlay somewhere.  Can check & share.
