Hi all,
I made this reminder LinkedIn post on Friday, if you want to like it so it shows up in the feed of your networks: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7004598893573267456
I've submitted the webinar video to Linaro events.
* We've still got a few open items in the tracking sheet to discuss: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SkQvq34NJBjJM56T6nm9fknJGTHutfV-LJd9... (I added the to do items from Bill's email) * Brainstorm some backup questions if Q/A is quiet * Any specific topic requests?
Thanks & regards, Nathalie
All,
I have pushed new docker images (tag "2022-12-05" but also current "latest") To update: docker pull openamp/demo-lite and then run as normal docker run -it openamp/demo-lite (I also add --rm to the command line above so the container is deleted when I exit.)
* I believe I have "fixed" the kernel crash. I have done 200 boots with 0 fails. * I have included Tanmay's new split firmware so demo2 now works * I have included Dan's hvl-virtio demo (demo4 is now real)
ci-build commit: https://github.com/OpenAMP/openamp-ci-builds/commits/f7dc2724beadbbb71ad2c91...
openamp-demo commit: https://github.com/wmamills/openamp-demo/commits/73ac3343e909ff0ef059f2152e8...
Next up is to include Bruce's demo and fix some nits.
Dan,
I have added a demo4 script to match the other demos. The user can still run the demo like you did or they can run the script.
I have put your kernel and dtb in test-sw/openamp-hvl to show it has a different build process.
I have also updated your demo to use the same base cpio (hacked.cpio.gz) as the rest of the demos.
Thanks, Bill

Dan/Bruce/All,
I have updated the docker images: * now contains the lopper demo as demo5 (I CAN count to 5) * re-fixed demo4 (Somehow I broke it yesterday, the /lib/firmware dir was missing)
tag is 2022-12-07 but that is also "latest" docker pull openamp/demo-lite
Let me know if you find any issues.

Bruce/Nathalie/Any,
Yesterday I was happy to get the SysDT demo in but now I am 2nd guessing the user experience.
Can you try it out and see what you think?
Improvement Ideas: * tell user to read the README first (could be a URL that they can bring up in another window) * We could put "hit enter to continue" between steps and use "less" to view the output.
Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill,
-----Original Message----- From: Bill Mills bill.mills@linaro.org Sent: Thursday, December 8, 2022 7:01 AM To: Chan King Choy, Nathalie nathalie.chan-king-choy@amd.com; OpenAMP System Reference (openamp-system- reference@lists.openampproject.org) <openamp-system- reference@lists.openampproject.org>; Ashfield, Bruce bruce.ashfield@amd.com Subject: Re: [OA-syst-ref] Calling for agenda: 2022-12-07 OpenAMP System Reference
Bruce/Nathalie/Any,
Yesterday I was happy to get the SysDT demo in but now I am 2nd guessing the user experience.
Can you try it out and see what you think?
Improvement Ideas:
- tell user to read the README first (could be a URL that they can bring up in
another window)
Yes, that would be helpful, because the first README I found when browsing around the demo5 directory was the top level lopper README, which is not the one we want them to look at.
- We could put "hit enter to continue" between steps and use "less" to view
the output.
Yes, that would also be great.
Another thing that could be helpful is to echo that steps 1 & 2 are already taken care of for you in the docker image, that's why we're starting at step 3. Otherwise someone might be confused why the first thing that happens is step 3 & if they missed something (especially if they aren't sure where the demo README is).
Thanks & regards, Nathalie
Thanks, Bill
